PRINCIPAL RECREATION LEADER – SITE SUPERVISOR
(PART-TIME)

We have continuous recruitment for various positions at the Escondido Sports Center in Kit Carson Park. The Sports Center includes two roller hockey arenas, one regulation-sized soccer arena, one “mini” soccer arena and a 22,000-sq. ft. skate park.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitor facility and insure the safety of all visitors.
  • Identify and solve problem situations.
  • Handle all emergencies and/or injuries.
  • Unlock and open facility for activity.
  • Lock and close facility at the end of the night.
  • Insure that all programs are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Solve registration, concession, skate park problems as they arise.
  • Assist registration staff during busy times.
  • File reports on all incidents.
  • Complete a manager's report.
  • Promote programs and events to customers, including telemarketing.
  • Make pre-game announcements as necessary.

The ideal candidate for this position will:

  • Be hard working, motivated, and team-oriented.
  • Work effectively in a hectic, fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 16 years of age.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.

Salary Range: $10.85 to $14.55 per hour. Includes P.A.R.S retirement program, workers' compensation, and unemployment. Bilingual employees are eligible for extra pay. The position will require evening and weekend hours.

SATURDAY, 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
SUNDAY, 1:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Applications will be screened and the most qualified candidates will be invited to appear for testing. All positions require the ability to read, write and speak English. Types of tests may include written and/or oral examination, physical agility, practical exam or other appropriate job-related selection process.

When testing is completed, candidates will be ranked on an eligibility list in the order of their test score. Selection for appointments is made from names certified on the eligibility list. Qualification by a medical examination may be required at the time of appointment. After appointment, classified employees must satisfactorily complete a probationary period to be eligible for regular status.
